Benefit Office Policies & Guidelines
Since dental plans may vary in terms of services covered and accepted providers it is important for patients to contact their benefit provider to ensure they understand the specific details of their plan. We highly recommend for all patients to go over their benefit policies and address any questions that may arise prior to their visit. If possible, we encourage patients to bring their dental coverage booklet to their appointment. Some companies may have apps that allow you to readily access the details of your plan on your phone. It is not always possible for us to access all the information pertaining to your benefit plan, as companies are not obligated to disclose any or all information to us due to the Privacy Act. We will direct bill, as a courtesy, but please be aware that if your dental benefits only cover a portion of our services you will ultimately be responsible for the balance remaining on your account.
* Please note that we do not follow the Alberta Fee Guide, our dentists have set their fee guide based on their expertise, time, effort and care they put into their treatment and patients. They treat conservatively and with their patients best interests in mind. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. *
